We offer a selected range of off-spec (off grade) TPU based on polyester and polyether, available in natural or transparent color, with a variety of hardness levels on the Shore A and Shore D scales. These are virgin, uncertified materials originating from surplus or non-conforming batches due to slight deviations from standard technical parameters. Although they may not meet all specifications required for prime-grade products, they remain perfectly usable in a wide range of industrial applications.

These grades Off-Spec Natural TPU represent a cost-effective and sustainable alternative to standard TPUs. They retain excellent mechanical performance, elasticity, and abrasion resistance, making them particularly suitable for customers looking to balance technical reliability with affordability. Off-grade TPU is ideal both for pure injection molding processes and as a blending component in compound formulations. It can be used to improve the flexibility or toughness of other polymers, optimize processing behavior, and lower overall material costs.

Thanks to its versatility, off-spec TPU is suitable for extrusion, compounding, and injection molding operations. It fits well into production environments that do not require certified specifications but still demand consistency, durability, and processability. These materials are particularly appreciated in non-critical or internal components, prototypes, or budget-sensitive productions.

Why choose off-spec natural TPU?

Off-spec TPU is a strategic solution for manufacturers aiming to reduce costs and environmental impact. It supports a circular economy approach by minimizing waste, while still delivering reliable performance for a wide range of technical applications.

PIR and PCR: two acronyms, two materials, two prices

PIR and PCR often get used as if they were two ways of saying “recycled”. They aren’t. They’re two different materials, born in two different worlds — and that difference in origin decides three things a buyer actually cares about: performance, price, and what you can declare. Let’s take them in turn. The two acronyms,

Recycled Post-Industrial PLA (R-PLA): Properties, Certifications and Applications

PLA is the most widely used bioplastic in the world, but its story doesn’t end with the first use. When clean production scrap is recovered and reprocessed, you get recycled PLA — a material that is bio-based and recycled at the same time. This guide explains what R-PLA is, how it’s made, what properties and certifications it has,

How a batch of recycled material is qualified

“Recycled”, printed on a datasheet, isn’t enough. When a buyer receives a batch of recycled material, the question that matters isn’t “is it recycled?” but “can you prove what it is — batch after batch?”. Qualifying a batch means lining up four things that hold together: the stream it comes from, the consistency between one batch and the
